X 8′-0 standard weight pipe and redi-mix concrete locally. Call Miss-Dig (dial 811) prior to any digging – follow their instructions. When cleared to dig, drill your post hole. Set your post into a large, deep, full concrete footing. It’s important to make sure that this post stands perfectly true to plumb. Allow the concrete to cure (three dry days) before proceeding further. If need be, c ustomizing this gate for a width narrower than 6′-2 is easy, requiring only a tape measure and a hack saw. Need wider yet or even taller? These gate kits are non-stock and will be cut to order. Please allow about one week to run this package through our steel shop. Tools required for assembly: power drill, 5/16″ HSS drill bit, a 3/8″ nut driver and a pair of pliers. Additionally, both a 1/2″ and a 9/16″ socket and a ratchet wrench would prove useful.
